FDJ (Desert Psychlist) Since the success of female fronted bands such as Royal Thunder and Witch Mountain more and more bands are coming out of the woodwork fronted by women vocalists. Carla Warnes may not have the grit of RT's Miny Parsonz but she does have a great tone to her voice which is complimented by some superb playing. This band plow a sort of doom -ish classic rock groove with the emphasis on songs rather than riffs which I find rather refreshing. Favorite track: Across the Abyss.
Morts

Morts The second EP pretty much continues in the same direction as the first, however the production values are of a higher standard and I also feel that the songwriting and execution shows a greater maturity, indicating that the band are growing more comfortable and probably more confident in their abilities. This is a good sign and I look forward to hearing further things from Paradise Asylum! Favorite track: Complete.

There's nothing to run from, nothing to hide You pay you dues all your life, then it's time to die The pain inside you like an explosion of fear Really hurts when lose all you've down here I've walked across hell and seen the darkest night No light shines through this veil of pure fright Walking in a tunnel there's no way out, We're in this together, alone in our doubt I've walked across hell and seen the darkest night No light shines through this veil of pure fright Caress my heart and tell me that I'll be OK This sorrow is killing me, I know that you still care For all the times I've promised, you that I'd be there Take my hand and guide me across this endless abyss I've walked across hell and seen the darkest night No light shines through this veil of pure fright Caress my heart and tell me that I'll be OK This sorrow is killing me, I know that you still care For all the times I've promised to you that I'd be there Take my hand and guide me across this endless abyss This endless abyss This endless abyss This endless abyss This endless abyss

Obsession 03:06
She'll caress down your spine Run her fingers through your hair Senses working overtime Smell of stale sweat in the air Begin to sink into the darkness Your addiction taking hold The pull of obsession She lay you down on the bed Make you wish you'd not been born You let her get inside your head Leave you praying for the morn She'll leave you begging for mercy Screaming for more The pull of obsession Losing all your sense of time Filling every waking thought Forget what wrong and what's right Way past caring, needing more The lying and cheating Can only end in pain The pull of obsession Begging for forgiveness Pleading for a chance Feeling vexed by this business Guilty pleasures weren't the dance Try to stop these feelings Burning deep inside The pull of obsession Gripped by obsession

Complete 04:22
Thought love would would pass me by Wrong choices all the while Stopped looking took my time Then chance and fortune smiled You saw me lying there You laid down stayed the night We felt our body heat It made the world seem right Two people, different worlds Chance meeting on one night The feelings start to grow And love grows by and by We build a life as one Our children came along They changed our life again And formed a bond so strong Love caught us none to soon Old worries obsolete When new life came to bloom It made our life complete . Don't give up hope too soon Just stop to contemplate Good things will come around To those who prepared to wait Long years have passed us by The ties that bind hold true Much water has flowed through And still our love runs deep You saw me lying there You laid down stayed the night We felt our body heat It made the world seem right Love caught us none to soon Old worries obsolete When new life came to bloom It made our life complete
