"The storm queen cometh"

Morts Although the cover graphics and EP title (and perhaps even the band name) may lead you to expect some kinda symphonic power or folk metal offering, maybe with operatic vocals, you may be surprised to hear quite a basic & straightforward hard rock EP with rock-chick vocals instead, which isn't a bad thing at all! The production is a little rough around the edges, but that's to be greatly improved upon by the 2014 remixed re-release. Favorite track: Surrender.

Surrender 04:14
I can tell by the look in your eyes Your mouth says no but your body says otherwise Your acting so cold and looking so hot It's time to be cool cos I need all that you got I know you see me I know you need me I feel you want me Give it up Surrender Surrender to my charms Surrender Surrender in my arms I can see by the way you move, Get into the groove you got nothing to prove You think that you're really hard to get Keep looking around coz it ain't over yet I know you see me I know you need me I feel you want me Give it up Surrender Surrender to my charms Surrender Surrender in my arms . I can still feel some resistance You didn't bet on my persistence And now that you've finally given in You realise that it's you that wins I know you see me I know you need me I feel you want me Give it up Surrender Surrender to my charms Surrender Surrender in my arms x 2

Rise Above 04:00
Weigh your hopes against the pain and justify the costs All those paths won't run the same against unholy reign Measure relief in years of toil how many have you lost The parts don't always make the whole don't trust the final throw Those days betrayed, begone again hard lessons learnt Those doubts allayed, for now and then commit them to the past Weigh your hopes against the pain and justify the costs All those paths won't run the same against unholy reign Every fall of man, hides the charade And with a helping hand will rise above Every fall of man, hides the charade And with a little care will rise above Life's lost labour sold Given without care Your hopes and dreams will burn Every fall of man, hides the charade And with a helping hand will rise above Every fall of man, hides the charade And with a little care will rise above X4

Storm Queen 05:32
Storm's coming Static's in the air Breathing deep the saviour's kiss Holding, healing, savour it In sharp focus Hidden meaning told Waiting for the final sign Hold the storm front line Midnight falling The evening's starry night Full on disbelief suspension Darkness emanations Come to life Creatures of the night Waiting at the edge of time Hold the storm front line Can you hold it x2 I'm the storm queen, storm queen baby, Bathed in the night clouds rising Heavy with electric life signs I'm the storm queen, storm queen lightning Storm queen, storm queen rising Hear them drums Don't they rumble on They ain't no anvil of the god But fuel for your lightning rod Feel them scream The winds a whip of pain Chilling to the core of men Hold the storm front line, again Can you hold it x 2 I'm the storm queen, storm queen lightning Storm queen, storm queen rising I'm the storm queen , storm queen baby Bathed in the night clouds rising Heavy with electric life signs I'm the storm queen, storm queen lightning Storm queen, storm queen rising. X2
